Open Day for University Graduates in Dentistry

June 10, 2017 there was an important event for the dental community at the premises of Dental Practical and Training Medical Centre (DPTMC) of Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education with the involvement of leading professionals and administration of the Institute of Dentistry of NMAPE.
There was held an Open Day for university graduates in Dentistry.
DPTMC warmly welcomed leading experts in modern dentistry and graduates interested in future profession. The programme was interesting and intensive. Everybody had an opportunity to become familiar with the features of scientific work of each department of the Institute of Dentistry and clinical work of DPTMC.
The opening speech was made by the Director of the Institute of Dentistry, Vice-President of the Association of Dental Orthopaedists and Dental Mechanics of Ukraine Full Professor O. Doroshenko, Head of the Department of Dentistry, Vice-President of the Ukrainian Dental Association Full Professor O. Pavlenko, President of the Ukrainian Dental Association Full Professor I. Mazur, Head of the Department of Dental Orthopaedics, Honorary President of the Association of Dental Orthopaedists and Dental Mechanics of Ukraine V. Bida, Head of the Department of Preventive Dentistry, President of the Association of Periodontists of Ukraine Full Professor G. Biloklytska, Vice-President of the Association of Dental Orthopaedists and Dental Mechanics of Ukraine Full Professor P. Leonenko and Director of DPTMC M. Savchenko. .
During the event the leading experts gave relevant lectures and master classes on issues of modern dentistry, such as “Importance of Ultrasound Technologies in Comprehensive Treatment of Periodontal Disease” (MD, Dr. Sc., Full Professor G. Biloklytska), “Dental Implantation and Modern CAD/CAM-technologies of Dental Prostheses Production” (MD, Dr. Sc., Full Professor P. Leonenko), “Approaches to Modern Methods of Prevention, Treatment Rehabilitation in Dentistry” (Associate Professor V. Burhonskyi), “Effective Ergonomic Endodontics” (I. Chornenkyi), “Manual Scaling Technique, the Use of Area-Specific Gracey Curette” (dental practitioner of DPTMC of NMAPE O. Mitianska), “Organization of Modern Dental Care for Children” (Associate Professor I. Trubka), “Up-to-Date Orthodontic Devices, Instructions of their Usage” (Associate Professor N. Polianyk), “Management and Legal Aspects of Dental Practice” (MD, PhD M. Savchenko), “The Use of Florida Probe Computer-Diagnostic Programme for Diagnostics of Periodontal Disease” (N. Turianska).
Running such events definitely improves medical judgment of young dentists and making the right decisions in difficult clinical cases.
All the members of the event actively participated in the discussions, had numerous questions answered and took part in lively discussion of clinical cases.
