On Sept. 17-18th 2019 the first Scientific European Meeting for applications of optogenetics was organized by Inscopix (USA) in College de France (Paris, France), in which a Head of the Oncology Department of the Shupyk NMAPE Prof. Myasoyedov S. D. took part. The event consisted of the newest demonstrations of the method, original reports from some European countries and a poster session.

The roots of scientific publications were laid back in 1665, when Henry Oldenburg of the British Royal Society and his colleagues founded the first periodical – «Philosophical Transactions» of the Royal Society. The «Philosophical Transactions» of the Royal Society contributed to the development of the entire scientific community, facilitating communication between researchers and overcoming their isolation.

On August 25-27, 2019 in Krakow (Poland), a specialized scientific forum of the International Union of Phlebology, bringing together experts from all around the world engaged in minimally invasive surgery for varicose veins of the lower extremities and its complications (surgeons , vascular surgeons and phlebologists).

On September 2, 2019 at the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (Chief of Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery - S. Savoliuk (MD, Dr.Sc., Full Professor)) 1-year interns have began training in the specialty "Surgery".

At the Department of General and Emergency Surgery, NMAPE named after P.L. Shupyk, PhD P.I. Chervyak, was presented an encyclopedic biobibliographic reference book "Medicine of Ukraine in personalities" in three volumes.

On August 11-15, 2019 in Krakow (Poland) took place a landmark event for the entire surgical community - the 48th World Congress of Surgeons (WCS-2019), held by the International Association of Surgeons (ISS / SIC) in collaboration with the International Association of Endocrine Surgeons ( IAES), thoracic surgeons (BSI), abdominal surgeons (gastrointestinal tract) (ISDS), bariatric and metabolic surgeons (IASMEN), emergency surgeons, polytraumatologists and anesthesiologists and resuscitators (IATSIC, ASAP).
